
Emirates airline celebrated its 25th anniversary in the Bahrain market. During this time, the airline has expanded its network, offering passengers modern services and comfortable flights. Bahrain Airport is a key departure point in the Emirates network, and the company aims to continue cooperation to support trade and tourism.
Over the past 25 years of operations in Bahrain, Emirates has grown from two daily flights using a mixed fleet of Airbus A300, A310, and A330 aircraft to the current 22 weekly flights operated on modern Airbus A350 and Boeing 777 aircraft, offering nearly 7,000 seats in each direction. Bahrain has become one of the first destinations served by all of the newest aircraft of the airline.
Nabil Sultan, the divisional vice president for passenger sales and operations management in Emirates, noted: "Celebrating 25 years of flights in Bahrain, we are grateful to our partners and clients for their support." Over the years of successful operations, the airline has consistently operated flights on the iconic Emirates A380 aircraft to meet peak travel demand and highlight National Day of Bahrain.
Emirates SkyCargo has also contributed its share to the trade capabilities of Bahrain, transporting over 146,000 tons of cargo to Bahrain in the last five years, primarily on passenger flights. This year, the company celebrated its anniversary with a vibrant event, which brought together representatives from the government, key partners, and clients.
Emirates offers a high level of connectivity to key destinations for families, business, and social visits, including places like Manila, London, Kuala Lumpur, Chennai, and Dhaka. To enhance travel experiences and meet obligations, the airline strives to provide the best products and services on board. Emirates recently began utilizing the Airbus A350 on two of three daily flights from Bahrain, offering passengers products of the next generation in all classes of service.
To stimulate tourism in Bahrain, Emirates collaborates with the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibition Authority, supporting trade capabilities through attracting visitors and promoting diverse attractions and events. Emirates has also signed a code-sharing agreement with the national carrier of Bahrain, Gulf Air, to provide passengers with enhanced opportunities for connections and access to a broader network of routes.
