King of Bahrain Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa has approved Law No. 11 of 2026, approving the system (law) to amend some provisions of the Unified System for Extending Insurance Coverage for citizens of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries working outside their home countries in any GCC member state. This comes after the approval by the Shura Council and the Council of Representatives. Article 1: The system (law) to amend some provisions of the Unified System for Extending Insurance Coverage for citizens of GCC countries working outside their home countries in any GCC member state, attached to this law, is hereby approved. Article 2: The Prime Minister and the Ministers — each within their jurisdiction — shall implement the provisions of this law. It shall be effective from the day following its publication in the Official Gazette.
