The UAE-Bahrain Super Handball Championship will be held in its seventh edition between Sharjah and Al-Najma at the "Khalifa Stadium for Sports" in Bahrain at 5 PM UAE time. This sporting event is considered a distinguished occasion between the UAE and Bahrain since its inception in 2017. Sharjah is the only UAE team that has participated in this championship until now since its establishment, and it has participated six times and won the title twice, while Al-Najma from Bahrain has participated five times and won the title four times.
Regarding the participation of the Sharjah team in the current edition of the championship, the Secretary-General of the UAE Handball Federation, Nasser Al-Hammadi, confirmed that Sharjah qualified for participation after it was a guest for the UAE Super Cup for the 2024-2025 season. Sharjah lost the title to the youth of Al-Ahli in a match held on December 21, 2024. According to the championship regulations, the youth of Al-Ahli were selected to participate in the Saudi Super Cup, which will be held in April next in the UAE.
