Liam Lawson Faces Criticism in F1 Preseason Testing

The new Formula 1 championship is about to begin, and on February 26, pre-season testing started at the Bahrain International Circuit in Sakhir. One of the focal points was Liam Lawson, who had his first opportunity at Red Bull after the dismissal of Sergio 'Checo' Pérez.

During the first test in the RB21, Lawson had a small incident when he skidded in a turn, losing control of the car and momentarily going off track. Despite this setback, he continued without problems, although it generated criticism on social media regarding his performance and his replacement of Checo Pérez in the team.

Despite the inconvenience, Liam Lawson managed to be the second fastest driver in the first test, surpassed only by half of the participating drivers. However, at the end of the first two sessions, he ranked eighth in the overall standings.

The Formula 1 season will kick off on March 15 with the Australian Grand Prix at the Albert Park Circuit. This year, unlike previous editions, the championship opening will not take place in Bahrain due to the start of Ramadan.
