King of Bahrain Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa met today in Manama with General Charles Bradford Cooper, commander of the U.S. Central Command, and his accompanying delegation. They discussed current regional and international events, as well as a number of issues of mutual interest. According to the Bahrain News Agency, the monarch praised the key and active role played by the United States alongside brotherly and friendly countries in strengthening the foundations of regional and global security and stability. Meanwhile, Crown Prince, Prime Minister, and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Bahraini Armed Forces Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa affirmed the strength of relations with the United States, which has played a historical role in efforts to counter malicious Iranian aggressions. The Bahraini Crown Prince also highlighted the important role played by the United States, alongside brotherly and friendly countries, in strengthening the foundations of security, stability, and development in the region and the world.
