This confirms that investing in people is the most reliable path to achieving stability, prosperity, and sustainable development, as well as fostering a more inclusive and cohesive GCC community for the present and future. The report 'Reality and Social Protection Policies in GCC Countries', issued by the Center, highlights the GCC countries' superiority in various international indicators related to social protection. All GCC countries are classified as having very high human development according to the 2025 Human Development Index Report, reflecting their progress in key indicators such as health, education, and quality of life. Furthermore, the GCC countries outperform the global average on the 2025 Social Progress Index, a clear indication of their leadership in promoting human well-being and comprehensive development. In 2024, the GCC countries' average GDP per capita exceeded the global average by approximately three times, with all GCC countries ranking among the top six in the global competitiveness index for the West Asia and Africa region. The report also notes that 100% of the population in GCC countries has access to education, health, clean water, and electricity services.
