The case details began when the son discovered large financial transfers from his father's account, amounting to 25,000 dinars, to the account of a nurse who worked for his father during September and October 2025. After being confronted, the accused admitted that she had taken the victim's phone without his knowledge and used a financial app to transfer the money in installments to her account in Bahrain, then transferred the full amount to her account in her Asian country, exploiting the victim's wheelchair-bound condition. She returned 3,500 Bahraini dinars but failed to return the rest of the stolen amounts. It was confirmed from the financial app's records that the transfers were sent to an international account using the accused's phone, and a verification code was sent to the number to complete the transactions. The Public Prosecution accused the suspect of using the victim's electronic signature and the app number linked to his bank account for fraudulent purposes in 2025, specifically to seize the cash amounts. It was also established that she unlawfully seized the victim's cash funds by entering incorrect data through a technical information medium—the verification code of the Bankit app, the subject of the charge. She managed to seize the monetary amount using this method and unlawfully entered the victim's app, an information system, to carry out the financial transfer.
An Asian nurse working for a Bahraini patient exploited his phone to transfer nearly 25,000 dinars to her bank account. She then transferred the amount to her bank account in her Asian country. However, the victim's son discovered the matter by chance when he noticed repeated bank transfers from his father's phone and found they were sent to the accused's account, with the amount exceeding 25,000 dinars. The accused admitted to the incident and was referred to the High Criminal Court, which held its first session yesterday. The court adjourned the next session to the day after tomorrow, Tuesday, to review the case and bring the accused from her detention.
