The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jassim Mohamed Al-Budaiwi, announced on Wednesday the establishment of the Gulf Civil Aviation Authority. This new body is tasked with coordinating the efforts of member states in the field of civil aviation, developing cooperation, and harmonizing legislation in this sector. The Gulf Civil Aviation Authority will contribute to enhancing flight safety, developing regional aviation infrastructure, and strengthening the position of Gulf airlines in the global market.
