Bahrain called on the UN Security Council to vote on a resolution regarding the escalating crisis in the Strait of Hormuz and its impact on global food security. Bahraini Foreign Minister Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani emphasized that the strait is an international waterway belonging to the world, and the Council must act accordingly. He warned that inaction is not an option. Meanwhile, the European Union has called on Iran to stop its attacks on Gulf countries and to de-escalate tensions.
