Argentine driver Franco Colapinto (Alpine) will continue his preparation for the 2026 Formula 1 season during the tests in Bahrain. According to the Argentine News Agency, the activity at the Bahrain International Circuit, which is 5,412 km long and features 15 turns, will begin on Wednesday at 4 AM (Argentina time) and will last for four hours. Regarding the broadcast, only the images from the last hour of each session will be shared live. This is mainly because several teams still have details to finalize, as the 2026 season has numerous regulation and car design changes compared to 2025. These will be the second pre-season tests for the Formula 1 drivers, as they had the opportunity to test at the Circuit de Montmeló in Barcelona a few weeks ago, where Colapinto had a very good performance and even completed a large number of laps to gain confidence in his Alpine A526. This weekend's tests will not be the last pre-season ones, as there will also be activity at the Bahrain International Circuit between February 18 and 20. The 2026 Formula 1 season will begin in early March with the Australian Grand Prix, held at the Albert Park Circuit in Melbourne. On that same day, there will be a one-hour break before the second session from 9 AM to 1 PM. The pre-season tests in Bahrain will continue on Thursday, February 12, and Friday, February 13, maintaining the same schedule format.
