Alpine has confirmed the schedule for Argentine driver Franco Colapinto for the official Formula 1 tests in Bahrain, which will take place from this Wednesday, February 11th, to Friday, February 13th, at the Sakhir International Circuit. Colapinto has been assigned his slots for the second pre-season test session, a key stage in preparation for the start of the 2026 championship. According to Alpine's plan, Colapinto will be the team's first driver to take to the track. The 22-year-old from Buenos Aires province will be on track on the morning of Wednesday, the 11th, with Pierre Gasly taking over for the afternoon session. On Thursday, the 12th, the track time will be exclusively for the French driver, and finally, on Friday, the 13th, Colapinto will get back into the Alpine to conclude the team's participation in this test session. Each day of testing will feature two daily sessions: the first from 4 to 8 and the second from 9 to 13, all in Argentine time. Following this first test session in Sakhir, the championship will face a final test session between February 18th and 20th, also in Bahrain, before traveling to Australia for the official start of the calendar.
