Formula 1 Begins Final Week of Testing in Bahrain

Formula 1 kicks off its final week of testing before the start of the 2026 season this Wednesday, with 11 teams working at the Bahrain International Circuit with an eye on the Australian Grand Prix, scheduled for March 8. Teams will take the opportunity to fine-tune details on the new cars and work on the power units in a season that generates excitement due to the technical changes implemented. For the Alpine F1 Team, the drivers' schedule has already been confirmed. Each day will feature two four-hour sessions, separated by a one-hour break.

Among the participants will be Argentine Franco Colapinto, who will log key kilometers with Alpine. The activity in Bahrain will take place over three days: Wednesday 18, Thursday 19, and Friday 20 February. Frenchman Pierre Gasly will open the proceedings on Wednesday morning, while Franco Colapinto will take the wheel in the afternoon session. The Argentine will spend the entirety of Thursday at the wheel of the A526, and Friday will once again be the Frenchman's turn.

In this way, Colapinto will have a full day to continue his adaptation and gain experience ahead of a championship that will officially begin in Australia and mark the start of a new season in the top tier of motorsport.
